Hopefully, The Sims team will release more empty worlds in the future for creative Simmers to fill with their own builds. Now you can focus on each settlement and start placing roads and lots. It can feel a bit overwhelming to start from scratch, however. The Sims 3 launcher will start up and install your world. I like to put certain spawners to certain places (this side of the mountain has gold, that side has rainbow gems, by the lake you have water beetles etc) There are also several empty worlds with just really nice terrain, if youre into building. Gradually forests are made, marshes, coastal flora, all these. I like to start with each plant separately from the list and image where in the world they would grow. I also like to completely flatten the centre of any big settlement (painted in pavement). Get into land details according to the paint, smoothen beaches, harden rocks for mountains, create cliffs etc. This creates a good general landscape, geologically nice looking.Ĭreate land paint layers in the right order (custom made are not helpful for mw so I change even them) : rocks first, then ocean/water floors, then dirt and sand, then grass and finally any road or pavement. Start with a blank map, lower all the terrain to deepest underground and then raise it as islands/mountains according to the map you are creating.
